Not so fast !

When you brush your teeth, you will get the best result if you take a little more time and don’t press too firmly – you can damage your teeth and gums by scrubbing hard.

Aim to take about 2-3 minutes. Many electric brushes have a built-in timer to help.

Start in one spot, for example the top left, and gradually work your way around from left to right. Do the outside, then go back and do the inside. Make sure to gently brush around the gum line too.

Move down and clean the bottom teeth, starting on one side and working around to the other, just as before.

Don’t forget to clean the biting part.

If you have sensitive teeth, a sensitive toothpaste is a good idea, and again, take your time and don’t press too hard. Your dentist may tell you to put a small amount of toothpaste on your finger and rub it directly onto the sensitive spot.
