Restore your smile

Our friendly dentists are here to help.

Examination

It all starts here; before we do anything we will talk to you about what you would like, then take a look at your teeth, gums, jaw and the soft tissue inside of your mouth. Then we discuss what we found and what options there are. It’s always your choice if we go ahead.

Sometimes we will recommend you to a specialist because we feel a treatment option will work best for you when done by someone who has focussed their whole career on that treatment.

Fillings

At Berrycroft Dental we primarily use tooth-coloured fillings, which are made of composite resin. Different shades can be used to match the appearance of your original tooth.

Fillings are generally used to restore smaller cavities (holes) or chipped teeth.

Crowns and Veneers

Crowns or “caps” as they are often called cover the whole of the top of the tooth. These help to protect the tooth from breaking and are used when the tooth has lost too much material or is too fragile for a filling. Crowns are typically made of porcelain, ceramic or metal which are cemented onto the tooth.

Veneers are a thin layer of ceramic that sit on top of the tooth and are used to correct the overall appearance and shape. These are used when other ways to restore the tooth aren’t possible.

Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, involves removing infected or damaged tissue (pulp) from the inside of a tooth’s root canal system. The canal is then cleaned, shaped, and filled to seal it and prevent future infection. A filling or crown will also be needed to protect the top of the tooth after treatment.

Broken teeth

Whether you’ve had an accident or just bitten something hard, a broken tooth looks and feels bad. We can help you get your smile back and take the pain away.

Missing teeth

Whether it’s a front tooth that you’d like to replace, or a back tooth you need to help you chew again, there are ways to fill the gap. We can discuss the options for dentures, a bridge, or dental implants.

Dentures

Dentures are removable false teeth. These can be made as a full set of the top and bottom, or can be created as a partial denture to replace a few missing teeth.

Bridges

A dental bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of one or more artificial teeth anchored to adjacent teeth using dental crowns or metal wings.

Dental Implants

A dental implant replaces the root of a missing tooth and can be used to support a crown, bridge or denture.

Extractions

We will always try to save a tooth, but when there’s no choice, we can remove teeth that can’t be saved. We will always talk to you about your options, and whether you would like to replace the missing tooth before we start. It can be possible to take a tooth out and replace it at the same appointment so you don’t have to leave with a gap.
