Our treatment rooms are on one floor, and there are lifts from the ground floor to our practice on the first floor.
Appointments can be made by telephone or by email or contact form. We will normally offer the next available time with your usual dentist or hygienist, but you can choose a day and time that suits your needs from the options available.
If your dentist or hygienist is not available, you will be offered an appointment with another dentist or hygienist at that time, or we will offer the nearest possible time.
It is our policy to require a deposit for most appointments.
If you are not able to get to the practice for an appointment, you must contact us no later than 48 hours before your appointment. This enables us to offer your appointment to others.
If we are closed, we can still be contacted by phone (leave a voice message), by email (reply to your appointment reminder), or via the enquiry form at the bottom of every page on this website.
Please do not use SMS to contact us as the service we use is not expected to receive messages and may discard your message without warning.
Missed appointments and late cancellation
If you cancel or ask to change the time or day of an appointment less than 24 hours before it is due, we will record it as a late-cancellation. If the appointment is one hour or longer, cancelling with less than 48 hours will be recorded as late-cancellation.
If you arrive too late to begin your appointment, this will be recorded as a missed appointment.
If you miss or late-cancel two appointments within a year, we may not offer you any further appointments.
Fees for missed or late cancelled appointments
A fee of £1 per minute of the appointment is charged and will be deducted from any deposit held.
Example: an appointment booked for 30 minutes carries a fee of £30 if attended too late to begin, cancelled at short notice or not attended.
Time limits on appointments
Once a dentist has identified the need for treatment at a check-up and opened a Course Of Treatment for you, you must begin treatment within 2 months, and you must not leave more than 2 months between any further appointments.
If it is not possible for you to book treatment appointments less than 2 months apart, or if you have to cancel a treatment appointment and cannot attend again within the 2 month limit, the Course Of Treatment is no longer available. You will have to attend another check-up appointment to be re-assessed.
If you had paid in advance for your treatment, you can be refunded for the treatment you did not receive. You will still have to pay for the check-up and any treatment you did receive.
If your treatment begins within 2 months but takes longer than 2 months to complete, you will not need another check-up to continue provided your appointments are all less than 2 months apart. However, if your treatment takes longer than 6 months, your dentist may give you further advice on your ongoing treatment.
